a couple of neat 968 sightings this week, tuesday I took #531 over to Ken for a DE inspection, and he had a purple ( I think Porsche called it blue violet metallic ) coupe on the alignment rack, and he opened the door to show the all purple interior, just wild. Evidently the owner is returning her to service after several years on the lam, maybe she'll ( I think he said the owner was a woman ) fess up and show some pictures, as I didn't have my phone...
friday I was on the bike, on Sunrise Highway, on my way to the Orient Point ferry, and a white coupe with a white wing and Turbo S badge passed me as I was exiting at route 24, maybe it was a Rennlister...
since I ( and I think most everyone else ) go weeks without a 968 sighting, I thought it deserved a post...
Lime Rock Park on monday if you want to stop by...
From: one thousand, five hundred miles north of Ft. Lauderdale for the summer.
i've seen one 968 in my lifetime. it was in the fall of 1994. black coupe, UT Austin campus...... i saw an Amazon Green coupe at the 24 hours of Daytona in 2011, but that was a car event with late model Porsches running.... so that doesn't really count.

I wonder, could that be Raj? Long Island isn't that far from New Jersey, after all...
Crossed paths with a Guards Red & Black Cab last week, and a Very Dark Green/Blue and Tan Cab in the Kirkland Woodiness areas. There are at least 5 968 Cabs in the Seattle suburban area that I see off and on, and 3 coupes in the club. 968's like the Northwest.
Yet they are still a rarity. Yesterday we stopped at a traffic light next to a Harley rider. He looked over - raised his helmet visor - gives me the thumbs up and says "I like it!". You don't get that in a Boxster.
Some months ago I was driving up Alton Road and stopped at a light. Relatively young (30s?) woman in an older Cayenne stopped next to me and complimented my car, claimed to have a six-speed coupe of her own. Wish I had a chance to get her number before the light turned green...
