Default Torque Tube Bearings

Well, mine TT bearings threw in the towel.

Anyone try the Super Bearings in our torque tube? Street or track? Your experience?

Thanks in advance.

I have the Super Bearings in my 951 and absolutely love them. Constantine is a great guy too. It's the only way to rebuild a TT, IMO.

Good to hear. How long have you had them in? Any noticeable difference?

I've had them in since late 2009. Huge difference from my original failing bearings. Quiet and smooth. I've got a little over 20k miles on them.

If yours is a 92, your torque tube probably has a slit going along most of its length like mine. I've heard these are very difficult to rebuild. I hope that's not always the case. Best of luck - keep us posted as to how it turns out.

What does a bad TT sounds like?? I have this rattling noise at idle and goes away when the engine is reved. Thought it was the dampener but that was replace and the noise is still there....Thanks

Thanks folks.

Mine suddenly made noise at high revs. Within a few laps, noise was constant over 5500 rpm and vibration started to quickly enter the picture. By the time I pulled off, had moved around enough to break the bell housing...

When we looked down the tube, bearings appear to have slide rearward, perhaps no longer intact.

Thanks for all input folks.
