gonna need a new avatar though.
despite that yours is probably the best ever...
make the new one in the same spot.
but seriously..... i don't know why....... i've owned both.
and 944s are better on snow. WAYYYY better. no comparison. no contest. no debate.
the 968 needs a 150 pound bag of sand in the back and blizzaks just to go 50 feet without crashing.
don't try to drive without either. you'll total the car.

968's do fine as long as you're running skinny 16" wheels with snow tires. I had Boxster wheels (needed spacers at front to clear) with snows on my coupe and I was confident up to 8 or 9"s of snow.

Just to update this thread a little, the car is now running Bilstein Escort Cup coilovers, a rear M030 sway bar, a lot of new rubber and plastic bushings, a new coolant tank, a roll bar, two Sparco buckets with custom fixed mounts (I have the driver's side almost touching the carpet), harnesses, quick release steering wheel, braided brake lines, Pagid blacks and fresh oil.
I wasn't able to do the Hall sensor: no amount of 'waking up' per Clark's would release the first valve cover bolt I tried, and I wasn't about to break it off.
I have an alignment booked Wednesday, then I'm headed to Mosport Friday for the weekend!

Dwane, I've written myself a note, but if I do forget, I'll mail them to you.
Pictures once I've bothered to wash it. I've still barely driven this car -- though I've certainly had a lot of it apart already!
