Default Need some advice/info

Can anybody tell me if the 968 turbo or turbo RS came factory equipped with wider fenders?

I'm trying to get my race car classed in PCA racing in the SP3 class.

But, I've got the flared fenders from GT racing; and that may disqualify me...unless the race car had them from the factory!

Does anybody know?

Thanks,
Jason

The factory 968 turbo S cars I saw did not seem to have wider wings than other 968s...

Jason, what weight would they require you to run at to be SP3 eligible? I hope it's more than a normally aspirated 968. You'll destroy the 944S2's and 968's in SP3.

I'm pretty sure the CS, Turbo S and Turbo RS all had stock flares. If they are wider, they are rolled as it is unnoticeable just looking at it. If they are rolled it is probably similar to what the factory did on the 951S. I myself have only seen some CS's (I think I've seen your car, 93 FireHawk, at LRP?)

Sending both you 93_FireHawk and JasonJudd a PM about a local event you may be interested in.

Cheers! Have a good evening!

My car needs to be over 3,000 lbs for SP3...

But, again, it may have to be classed in GT3S because of the extended fenders. I'm not really sure who else raced in that class.

When I was of a higher horsepower, I was in GT2S, and there were hardly any folk to race with...That's why I switched over to NASA and have been in their GTS3 class. Usually, there are over 20+ cars to compete with!

Hi Jason,

North Atlantic GT3S in 2011

National GT3S in 2011

If you can drop a couple hundred pounds of ballast on the passenger side, run with a full fuel tank, and start eating junk food now, run at 3,380 and make GT4S.... There where 11 competitors that accumulated points in North Atlantic during 2011 season. Seems to be more popular...
