just before i went outside to put my targa top back on, and i found that the dome light had stayed on. I check and made sure the doors and hatch were closed and they were. The light switch is on the right setting, to go on with the doors. So i don't know what the problem is, why does it stay on. I turned it off for now. any ideas?

Pull the light assembly out and look at the little metal tab that attaches to the switch lever. It may be loose and not moving far enough to break the circuit. A little creative bending should do the trick.
