Is it possible to replace a 968 airbag wheel with a boxster or newer 911 wheel and keep your airbag fuctional?

I've tried to replace my 968 w/ a 996 steering wheel. Unfortunately it doesn't fit. Needs some kind of adapter. If anyone knows of one please let me know.
