Post SFR supercharger dyno results!

After two months of testing and torturing our test mule on the dyno(30 hours)and the street(about 500 miles), the results are in. We did better then we anticipated!

First some relative information. Our 86' N/A test car which was equipped with a Huntley Mass-flow, headers, testpipe, 3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator and Nology ignition made 131 horsepower at the wheels. This was our baseline.

Our Level 1 kit made 182 horsepower and 169 ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels. This is about 220 HP and 203 ft/lbs at the flywheel. This is an increase of roughly 45%! Although it was a little under our estimate of 50% it is very close. This car also drives excellent and is very, very fast.

Our intercooled level 2 kit made 222 horsepower and 238 ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels. This is 267 HP and 286 ft/lbs at the flywheel! This is about a 77% increase in horsepower. This was also with a belt that was slipping which cause the boost to fall off at high rpms. We will be going back to the dyno and we are actually expecting about 240 to 250 at the rear wheels out of this kit when we install a different tensioner on our pulley set-up. As you may have noticed torque jumped up tremendously with the use of an intercooler. This car is outrageously fast. Tire smoke in third gear is now a normal affair!

Again the drivability is great. It runs just like a stocker;^) This was our goal and we suceeded. Not only did we suceed but we beat our orignal expecatations!

Originally we were going to run this supercharger set-up with the stock airflow meter. However, this proved to be out of the question. We could not dial in the air/fuel ratio like we wanted too.Basically it came down to charging more for the base kit or possibly having issues with cars grenading! As you would expect, we decided to add the mass-flow to our level 1 kit. This kit will now retail for $3999.

During our research and development, our intercooled level 2 SC kit ran into fueling issues with the stock injectors. Our duty cycle was a little to high to be considered safe. We are now adding 944 turbo injectors as part of the package. This kit will retail for $4999.

The level 3 kit will retail for $5999:^0

I would like to say that none of the other kits on the market can compare to our kits! The Rimmer kit was nice when it came out but they lacked the fuel control that we have in our kit so....motors were grenading left and right! Huntley is not going to offer a kit for the 8 valve N/A's. We gaurantee that there is no other kit in existance that can match the performance, drivability or durability of our kit.

We are working on our kit for the S2(should be finished towards the end of the month) and we still need a reliable donor for the 968(you will get your kit at cost if you donate your cars as the testmule).

The dyno charts will be posted on the website later tonight or tomorrow so check them out!
