Chips for a 968...why?
Can somebody help me understand what a set of chips will do for our cars? I'm just wondering what a set of "improved" chips will do for a '95 968 Coupe?
Having recently come from an '89 944 Turbo,I can understand the value of a tuned chip which can affect Turbo roll-off and such...
But with our N/A engines what will a re-mapped chip do for us? Allow us to bring the engine up to 7K RPM?
To my understanding, most of the induction improvements have already been figured out at the factory, and what real exhaust improvements can be made?
Can somebody clear the mystery up for me?
Thanks!

Jason,
You are right on. The only improvment you will see is the increased redline. There is an article on 968.net about bolt on modifications. The author spent a lot of money and in the end got something like 3hp.
