Hello All,
Gettiing together parts for my turbo project. Initially, I wanted to fabricate my own intake manifold but, time is not on my side. I am now looking to purchase the intake manifold and I want to know what are my options in terms of vendors/products. I feel pretty confident that I will go with the SFR manifold but, want to make sure I am not overlooking all my options. Comments/suggestions please.
Thx.

I would go with SFR, they've got the experience and that's worth the money. I'm sure there are other options but I would go with the company that's done it before.

Powerhaus is still in business if you can get ahold of David. My head was done by Powerhaus. My 12.5LBS Flywheel & triple-Layer SS head gasket are both Powerhaus units as well.

Thoughts on changing the intake manifold/throttle body for a N/A car?
I've seen various thoughts/arguments on both sides of the aisle, wondering if anything has changed recently that moves anyones opinion?

Thom, yes, that was a one-off fabrication that Tim made and different than the ones he now advertises.
Dave, replacing the factory intake manifold and throttle body on na 968's doesn't make logical sense unless you spend a lot of money elsewhere on the engine that makes the new intake and larger throttle more suitable. For example, stronger rods and lightweight pistons could be installed to safely increase RPM's with a DME chip. Then have a head rebuilt to maximize high-end CFM and install intake, exhaust, and fueling to match. Sounds $$$$$!
