October GT Porsche issue/968 CS article
Nothing groundbreaking in the article, except the common mistake saying MO30CS cars came with LSD in the package. And the unfortunate use of the word 'Clubbies' referring to the car, although on the cover they do say it's a 'front-engined marvel that's as good as an RS.'

I've never liked British car magazines because of the way they write there. It's a good article though and nice to still see our 968s are making it into print.

I've never liked the British style of writing. I'll concede that they generally have some good photography. GT Porsche and 911 & Porsche World both rely too much on flash photography though. Maybe it's because it's always so gray there.

Thom, that is untrue as far as US cars, Jeff's registry has plenty of examples. It would seem MO30 and LSD would be wonderful matches, but they weren't always paired here.

Hmmm... Interesting, thanks Damian, but US cars are probably alone in this example.
I'm still to hear about a ROW car with M030 that hasn't M220, and in the British context of the aticle I think the writer is correct.

We really are a bunch of trainspotters, aren't we? And plenty of cabs have LSD, but you couldn't get MO30 on a cab worldwide I'm pretty sure, but that's another story!

UK spec cars had to have the LSD (E220 here) specced in addition to MO30 - MO30 doesn't include the slip diff.
Nice article in the mag, and a recent good write up for Clubsports in Evo magazine too.

I have confirmation from some UK owners with MO30 and lacking 220/221 diffs, so for the US/Can and UK they were separate and distinct options.

Well, that the British would want to tick boxes that didn't work together for the sake of irritating the Germans doesn't surprise me much, but that Americans would follow the trend somehow puzzles me, it usually goes the other way around
