Question Placement of 968 Turbo RS NACA Ducts and Intercooler Outlet

Greetings,

I wanted to know if anyone had a placement guide for the placement of the 968 Turbo RS NACA Ducts and Intercooler Outlet. I am getting ready to install them and wanted to make sure that the placement is correct and accurate. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I do not either on my 968 turbo but I would guess that there is no "real" placement point. Rather what works best for you setup. I have seen a few car with the intercooler outlet and they all have slightly different placements and shroud work.

Good luck, post a few pic' of what you came up with.

Thanks to everyone who responded to the post. I understand that there are slight differences in the install depending on where the vents meet up with the various parts but I figured that the factory had to have some sort of guide.

When I bought my NACA's they came with a template. The place where I got them is no longer in business. If you want, I can look in the garage and see if they are buried somewhere?

Honestly, I was surprised that there was not more information on this stuff. I have come to realize that the 968 is truly a rare beast when it comes to the Turbo S or the Turbo RS. It is hard to find relevant information including how to make an exact duplicate of either model. I have come to the conclusion that you are almost better off waiting until you have added the turbo parts and then matching the vents accordingly in case something does not line up.

My understanding is that putting the ducts in will actually decrease performance and raise the engine temps under the hood without the turbo parts. I wanted to go the route of turbo charging my 968 with the 2.7 head but decided that until the economy changes I will have to wait.
