Default For Sale - 968 - new paint in 2009, 57k miles

Hi guys - I need to sell my 1994 968, unfortunately. This car was professionally repainted in 2009 by fellow Rennlist member Gregg Lewis and I bought it early this year from him. The paint is beautiful, as is the interior. The car has several very nice updates, including a 996 three-spoke steering wheel with airbag and 996 5-spoke 18" wheels done by the prior owner (lots of tread left on 225-40-ZR18 Toyo Proxes4 tires). Prior owners did timing belt, water pump, mild chip, front engine seals. I have done oil and filter, clutch pin, transmission fluid fill, sunroof clips, new motor mounts, and rear window tint, all at Ruf Auto Centre. A/C is great - I don't run it at full even here in Texas in July. I did a multi-state trip earlier this year and the car was great (27 mpg on one tank). I have 8 years of receipts, back to 2002. Most of the miles were in California, then Gregg had it in Ohio and I'm in Texas on the edge of Dallas. Known issues: scratch on passenger-side quarter window, sticks a bit coming out of reverse compared to other gears, passenger seat power height adjustment not working (manual fore-aft and back angle all work fine). Interior including seats and dash in very good condition. Metal pedals. Recent full professional detail, also at Ruf. Nearly new, custom fit dust cover used in my garage (prior owner garaged as well). First $16,500 takes it.

I like to trade cars and my kids are going to be too big for the back seats before long. Other priorities mean I can't keep it. Fun to have people come up and ask me exactly what it is, very often because it looks much newer than it is due to the new paint and condition. Email me for pics: dbbtexas@gmail.com

Thanks Richard.

Interesting the other post about the idea of 968 values going up over time as a collectible due to its low volume and pedigree. I think that's possible. In the meantime, its also fun to drive, which is not the case for all collector cars.

Wowww car looks AMAZING with the paint/wheel combination. I'm insanely jealous.

What paint code is that?

Yeah, ask Porschedude1, that used to be his car. IIRC he said it was just dozens of hours of hand polishing, and it's not fun.
