Cut the air bag wire and shut off the warning light today. I followed the instructions that someone posted for an S2. The only difference is the wiring connector must be round on the S2. It is flat on the 968 but by following the color code on the wires it was easy to figure out.

Link to the instructions please? I'm very much considering doing this, rather than fixing whatever the malfunction is.

One note that might help, the instructions are for a 7 prong (round) plug in the s2 but only 6 wires are used. The 968 is a 6 prong (flat) plug with the same six color coded wires.

plug wires depends if its ROW or US model. check the wiring diagram to get exact wire locations and colors.

never thought of there being a difference in ROW or US. Could it be that the US cars have the flat 6 and the ROW has the round?

ROW is flat aswell, at least with 968. ROW does not have the seatbelt buzzer like you guys at US do. haven't compared the wire color, but IIRC there is slight difference in colours too..?
