Is it possible to convert the 4 speeds auto transmission to the 6 speeds manual? Does anyone know?

 

I think it would be cheaper to sell a tip car and buy a six speed.

 

I recently had metal flakes show up in my tip transmission fluid. I decided to purchase a used tip from a guy that converted a tip to a 6-speed manual, so yes it can be done.

It's been done, successfully.

It probably wasn't cost effective back then, I can't imagine it is now.

 

that's the thing... no one wants a tiptronic in the used 968 market.

tiptronics are good investments. 8 thousand dollar parts cars that wifey can drive.

you can buy wrecker 968's with autos from 6-10k. Many. Trannies are rare, so they are about 3k, plus all the little crap. Sticks are hard to find, yes. I agree, if I could find a stick that just blew its engine, I would be all over it, but there really aren't that many.
