Default Parting: White '92 968

Hi all,

I recently acquired a 1992 968 coupe with a Tiptronic transmission - Grand Prix White/black interior and I am parting it out. Car has 187K miles. From the records I got, it appears to be well cared for and dealer serviced up to about 3 years ago when it fell into the wrong hands. Subsequently left outside and suffered a calamity that destroyed the hood/hinges and w.shield from not latching the hood properly.

Here is what's available for sale. All pricing is without shipping which I will charge at my actual cost via Fed Ex Ground. I offer local pick-up by appointment in San Rafael, CA. I will not at this time offer shipping on items marked w/ an asterisk (*) pick up only.

MAF $100
DME/engine wiring harness $100
throttle body w/ working TPS $75
radiator fans $60
air box $75
* tiptronic trans/fluid tank/axles (no cooler) $800
shifter w/ new tip switch- pn: 944.613.043.01 (new in 2007 cost $277.84 @ dealer) $100
HVAC controls - tested all modes working $100

rear wiper motor and switch $50
brake calipers (4) $300
spare tire $100
crank std/std $850
block - perfect bores - no scoring $1,000 (ship via freight to a commercial address only!)

Is that car full leather? I looks like it from the sheen of the sides of the seat and door panels.... Nice if it is!

edit: Yes, it is full leather! Thanks Jeff, I had not realized that. I thought full leather included leather door panels and when I saw they were vinyl I assumed it was not. Rear seats and front seat-backs are indeed leather. A little stiff, but leather nonetheless.

Yeah, the party I bought the car from sold the wheels (fine, they were Mille Migla 18's - got that receipt) and slapped those on it. When I quipped about the tires being shot and wheels not being original, they called it an "upgrade".

Get this, the front tires are Pirelli P7's. . . they haven't made those tires for how long? They have cracks the size of the Grand Canyon in every tire and were advertising/pricing the car as "ready to go". I could go on, but these people just didnt have the resources (financially, mentally) to own this car.

PM's returned.

Darn.. I was going to ask for the side skirts. If you ever change your mind, PM me! Also interested in the air-bag cover (not the airbag itself) and the speakers within both door panels (tweeters and enclosure below the armrest without the map pockets). I'll also send you a PM.
