Default 968 Turbo Race Car

As the story goes, my car was reportedly built by somebody associated with Ruf in Texas. The car appeared to be well developed (as you can read the build details below), but we never have found much history. I'm not really sure if the car was ever truly finished by its former owner. From my experience I would guess not, but I think the car is now close to reaching its intended capabilities.

Initially the car suffered from overheating. Ceramic material was found in the cooling system that clogged the custom radiator and prevented adequate radiator flow. After two engine rebuilds, new custom radiators and several disappointing track events, my mechanic and friend has finally solved all of the overheating issues that were ultimately due to a design flaw in the cooling system. The short story is that a custom dual pass radiator and custom fans have been installed that have totally alleviated any overheating issue that existed with the prior set-up. The car was run at Road Atlanta this past weekend with fantastic success. Temps never rose above 200 F at 15lbs of boost.

I'll now be able to move down the list to brakes, tuning, and smaller details.

Here is the build as she now sits...

This is a fantastic car, I've seen it in person a few times, unfortunately that was when Lloyd was having cooling problems. Glad to hear that you've gotten that straightened out

Interestingly they saw fit to use the stock intake.

Not the prettiest car I've ever seen but it sure has had a lot of work done on it. Any dyno sheets?
