Default A1 Koni Cup kit at Paragon

Finally have enough rubels to upgrade my suspension. This kit looks very inviting.

I plan to do 3-4 tack events a year but moslty keep it streetable.

I've done a lot of homework here and other places but I haven't seen much on this kit.

Any thoughts?

First chance to say, "welcome home".

That's a pretty good deal. Add M030 sways ft & rear (if you don't already have), and you've got a terrific handling (but still streetable) track day car.

Good luck.

I've just recently purchased this kit and will be installing it along with 968 M030 sway bars, etc.

I should be able to give an update in about a month.

Couldn't act fast enough... "We" bought new bedroom furniture instead. Guess I'll start saving again!

HA ! Women !
I just run MO3O bars with non MO3O suspension. The car came that way and it is great on the street.

Are you leaving your Torsion bars in or taking them out? how has this set up worked out for you?

I'm removing them.

Can't yet say how they'll work out as the car is still in the shop. I'll be able to give an update in about 2-weeks or so.

Installed. Feels very good, though the grip of the Toyo R888 have a lot to do with that. Surprisingly much more compliant than I expected. I was expecting a harsh ride. It is firm, but completely acceptable to me.

The rear shocks were originaly set at 75% stiffness, but I was still getting some squat. So my mechanic set them to full stiff. Better, though there is a bit more high frequency jitter at that setting.

Apparent from gentle canyon carving (had the kids with me), haven't had the opportunity to really push it. There have been some autocrosses lately, but for one thing or another I've not been able to go.

I would surmise there's a better way to adjust ride height than stiffening the shock?

What spring rate did you get? And would you go with a higher or softer rate for the street? Or do you think it's a good setup as is. I need to up grade my S3 from the stock S2 setup that I have now.

The ride height is fine. The squat was encountered under acceleration (and even then, it was WAY better than with the original/dead shocks). Stiffening the new rear shock dialed that bit of squat out... but at the cost of a bit of 'jitter'.

But until I've had a chance to do some AutoX and track days, I don't yet know where I'll ultimately leave the rear shock setting.

I've 300 up front, 400 in the rear (torsion bars removed). 968 M030 sway bars.

I personally could have gone with higher spring rates as suspension "harshness" is just as affected (if not more) by the shocks.

But what's done is done... and overall it feels good. And lightyears ahead of the tired stock setup.
