Hatch release.
The 968 came in from the cold today and I found the drivers side door latch was not working, probably locked up due to lack of use and lubrication. The rear hatch is also not working and my question is. Does the key unlatch a relay or is it like 944 and purely mechanical?

There is a micro swith behind the lock in the trunk. In order to get it open you will have to climb back there and pull on the manual release cable that is under the trunk carpet. Not so convient of a place for Porsche to put it at all. Did you try checking the fuse for the hatch motor?
