Default Club Race LRP

Anyone coming to the Club Race at Lime Rock this weekend ? Pretty good time, I think I'll be working the grid, my significant other will be up in timing...

Fri. and Sat. weather looks good, too bad Hershey is the same weekend...

Best,

Donn C.

Congrat's to Jason for breaking a 1:00 minute at LR. He did great against the big boys with his 968 Turbo.

Also, Don had a great weekend earning his rookie license and driving real well. That 944 is well sorted out and he showed it on the track.

We had a lousy test day on Thursday, cold and rain while everyone an hour south enjoyed sun and warmer temp's. Typical LR weather in April. Friday was day 1 for the club race and the weather and track were perfect, today was much warmer but still nice.

I ended up getting punted from behind during the enduro on lap 3 forcing me out of the race. My sprint race was no better, 2nd lap of 1st warm up I either blew a head or oil pump gasket, top front of engine was soaked in oil with a significant drop in oil pressure. I don't think the engine blew up because there was no knocking or other sound that would indicate something wrong. Just oil pressure in the 40's. I'll find out on Monday when the engine comes apart.

Joe,

Hope your car is OK, and it's only a minor issue...sucked about you getting punted in the enduro...luckily it didn't look like much cosmetic work, so that's one less thing for you and Will to worry about!

Thanks for the kind words, too!

Let me know how the motor turns out.

From Flag Station 10 - Volunteer next time the Club Races come to town, it's a long day ( or two ) but pretty fun. There were more 968's than I expected, they did great against the GT3's ( which appear to be growing on trees, there were so many ). Sorry to see Joe's trailer leaving early, hope the valvetrain's ok. Jason had all clean rounds in the turbo #47, and Richard in #48 had a long run-in with an older Carrera in the downhill, luckily they were both intending to pit and had backed off. I stopped down to the pits after the enduros, but the 968 owners weren't around. See you next time...

Pablo,

Not really that odd...You can't race on Sundays at Limerock...noise issues with the neighbors...Can't hear themselves pray!
