Were 968's hand-assembled? Or robot-built?

Todd, Thanks for the great pictures of 968 production. Where did you find these? I have not seen any of these in the many books published on these cars.
Having toured the production facility two years ago these old photos really do show the difference. These days "just-in-time" production moves everything along with far less "Hands".
I assume you all know just how unique the 968 Cab prodution was. As I understand it was a three plant process - Karmen made the bodies - shipped to ASC to cut the roof of and strengthen the chassis - then shipped to Porsche to finish with drive train and interiors. No wonder these would cost $100,000 to build like that today.
