Lédenon approach; another ten days !!! And they are working on it at Classic Auto Sport; First verification of tightening (transmission and suspension) and a geometry pass because nothing had been done since I brought from Holland. She was set "Oval Daytona" !!! -3.4° left front and rear -4.3° right front and rear ???? But nothing sensible in conduct until !!!
So it was wise to leave on the -4.3° front to -3.4° rear. It remains in the logic with a lower delta to 1° between front and rear and front camber to prevent understeer.

Final stretch for movement on lédenon !! And Team 944/968 will be complete and in great shape !!! The Cup went to the Dyno HP to undergo its last settings and the RS Turbo is ready. The two grannies displayed near 800cv between them !!!!
They expect their "boarding" for the first meeting of 2 races in the Challenge BRM Chronograph Sport Cup of Motorsport Porsche Club.

To Friday the program: 4 sessions of 30 minutes to remember in the head the circuit and especially see how the car behaves with new Michelin Sport Cup 2 on this toboggan racetrack !!!
First session, we start with the same settings that Bugatti ...... No joy, self waddles constantly. poor time 1'43 (I keep referencing the 1'38 "what I did on slicks Yoko last year).
1,8b tires cold which amounted to 2.2 at the end of session.
2nd session; I decided to harden the dampers: I spend at -13/30 -9/30 on the front and -32/51 -28/51 to the AR. Tires at the start to 1,85b going up to 2.2 / 2.4 (front right). Not too much improvement but I realize that my pressure sural rest at + 0,85b even putting the manettino to "Skull" ???? This is normally the pressure to the wet track ( "Turtle").
3rd and 4th session, no significant improvement over time but the track is not very clear because we are running so a lot of people.
We pass the car scrutineering, there arises the problem that the tank has exceeded the approval date ... two months .... verdict: Suspension for once !! whew
We decided to start with the BBS new MSC2 for the next day ... and then horror, the front wheels are 2mm wings. No way to leave, we will leave with the Veloce which are heavier than 3kg each and especially narrower 8 "instead of 9" front and 9.5 "up from 10 behind. Mounted with slicks Yoko in 23 and 25 wide, it's going well. Too bad .......
We put the stickers according to the laying plane of the organizer
Ready for tomorrow with qualifying and two races !!!!

Saturday, the day of judgment !!! For the 9am session I decided to follow the "unofficial" advice of a Michelin technician and go to 1,6b to aim 2b hot.
Bingo !! I go below the 1'42 and the car is more consistent as the laps. But still the 0,85b mano. The potentiometer must not send info to the solenoid valve or it is she who is in a carafe. We will present with 360cv (instead of 410 planned)
10:25, the qualifiers !! It keeps smiling

Not unhappy at all with 1'40 "88 is 2" longer than the slicks on BBS and 410CV. Dimitri and the 944 was a hit !! Butzi has much to be proud of. Congratulations to this talented young

14h 00 and go to the first race ... pre-grid and one reconnaissance lap and stop engine on the grid .... evacuation ... motor and go for the warm up lap with after a rolling start. 15 participating, not bad for a first !!! My time puts me in the last line; I'll be at the lodges ...I'll be hunting throughout its 30 minutes of RS 993 (or RSisée) and I will have the privilege of making me take a turn for the first 5 !!! And passge, we must emphasize the feat of the son Butzi to which the wheel of the 944 turbo cup (370cv dyno) on the podium in the "Classic" for his first race. (And take me a ride too) Our Team therefore takes a lot of points in the Challenge Team !!!

The qualifying
1'40 "875, is pile hair time that gave me my AIM Solo GPS !!!! Sacred precision gear embedded in the 968 !!!
For reference, I was 1'38 "271 in slick and with BBS rims and with the pressure 1,05b.
On this one, I can say satisfied because in MSC2, Veloce rims,pressure 0,85b. With the right pressure, the 1'39 "were easily achievable.

The feeling in the race is confirmed; the No. 67 is slower on our best lap than me. But not enough watts to go straight !!!

Even experienced with the Cup of Boris slower on our best tours !!!
Conclusion: On the same plate, if I want to go back to the 10 / 11th place will have to address the problem of "manettino" stayed on "Turtle" despite having been put on "death's head" ....... .... and best of all successfully mount the BBS lighter and wider ............. Go, get to work !!!

The car is back home; checking brakes. Will provide a replacement bowls with origins in order to mount the BBS. We should win 8mm in the wings
