Question 996 Turbos

I found a pair of 996 turbos for 1200 dollars can they be used on our 968's ? I been wanting to do the turbo conversion on one of my cars.

well...yes, anything can be done with enough money.

It is difficult to fit one turbocharger on the 968, and two will be very difficult. Besides, the size of the 996 turbos is too small for the 3.0L.

Turbocharging a car is a lot more than just purchasing a pair of junk yard turbo's and slapping them on. I suggest you read Corky Bell's book on Turbocharging to get a basic understanding of how they work and how you go about selecting one for a particular application. After you read that you will have to consider all the other things you need to do to (EMS, exhaust, wastegate, rebuild, etc.) What you will find out is that the turbo is the cheapest part of the equation.
