Default Head Rebuild - parts?

I'm looking to refresh/ rebuild the head off my dead motor - should I use factory parts eg valve springs, or are there superior alternatives out there?

Check out this Heritage Motorcar web page and click on Valvatrain Components.

They don't sell the components though do they, only as part of a complete job?
That's the impression they have given me anyway, a shame as they have some nice looking stuff.

Jon Milledge of Mass has tons of experience in doing performance head rebuilding, but I don't know if he sells components-that's where I'm sending mine to be done.

Thanks for the replies - I toyed with the idea of sending it over, but the freight to and from NZ makes it prohibitive. I did like the look titanium valve gear on the 928 developments site but can't seem to get an email response out of them - maybe just as well as the tech's would freak!!

More local - but its a damn expensive bit of water between NZ and Aust almost as much as the US. Its sourcing the parts thats the main issue - once we've got the parts, we've got some good head guys.
