These cars are safe from most anything....except some other driver running into you...and it doesn't take a lot to total these cars (in costs to repair vs buying another car). That's why two in a garage is a great idea. A backup....and worst case, you have spare parts.

Ciao.
220 with Pete's Stage II chip, header, and no cat (Dynojet). Still contemplating cams. However, if Wes has a turbo in the works, I might just wait to see how that turns out.

One small thing I have noticed is that everyone about 200whp doesn't have a cat any longer. When I removed mine (no headers), it made a large difference. My racerX chip also had a little be desired and I have tried to work out most of the bugs.

having now played with 4 different aftermarket cats on this car, it is amazing how much of a difference the size and restriction of each unit has made - much happier now with the bigger cat - the small ones just lost too much torque - sure, there was a tiny little bit of a quicker revving response thing going on way up top, but down low it was just no fun with the smaller ones

What do you mean by larger and smaller? More and less cell? I am decatted with a 2.5" 'test' pipe as some call it. Loud, but made the car sound much meaner to me.

all of the above - more and less cells (100, 200, and 300) - different size biscuits - one biscuit - 2 biscuits - i've been playing around with different units trying to sort out what works best - so far, all of the small single biscuit units were not as good as the larger dual unit i have in there now

yes, sound changed, and i thought i was having more fun with the small units, but the torque loss bugged me - i had to do a number of runs to figure it out - "seemed" livelier, but in reality the car was slower - if i spent all day at 6k and up, it might have been good, but my car is really mostly on the street
