Default 94 Cab 4 Sale

Sadly the time has come to part with our beloved '94 968 Guards Red Tiptronic cabriolet. It's been a fun 5 years but the desire for more modern creature comforts has won out (memory settings for the power seats/mirrors, glass rear window and easier top operation). We bit the bullet and bought an '06 Boxster S back in May since they brought the power up to 968 standards. But 2 soft tops is one too many, we just don't have enough time to enjoy them both (still working on break-in miles on the 987).

Here's some details on the car. When we first bought it, the timing belt, balance shaft belt, rollers, and water pump were replaced along with the normal tune up items like cap, rotor, plugs, filters. Each year the belts were inspected and tension on the balance shaft belt checked. In early 2003, I had Rich Tokar (owner of the Speed Yellow Strosek cabriolet) update the suspension - custom valved Koni yellows at all 4 corners (front adjustable), H&R sport springs in front, larger torsion bars out back, larger Weltmeister sway bars front and rear and Weltmeister adjustable camber plates. Stainless steel brake lines, frozen rotors, Hawk pads and a fresh set of Continental Sport 2s and corner balancing were also done at the same time. The ride is on the firm side but very controlled. The transmission fluid was changed in May '04 and only synthetic oil has been used while I've owned it. Pennsylvania state safety inspection and emissions valid through May '07. Valve cover removed and variocam chain sprockets and pads inspected by Porsche dealer. All maintenance performed by Porsche dealers.

The car now has 67,xxx miles on it with the following known issues:
Right front headlight surround cracked, have new surround but not painted.
Left front headlight trim cracked, have new trim but not painted.
Typical glove box door stops gone, have repair kit but not installed.
Typical outside temperature display backlight burnt out.
Driver and passenger seat heaters do not work, have not investigated.
Moderate wear driver's seat bolster.
Small break in paint on rear bumper surround.

Overall the car is in very good condition and still will turn heads. At the annual 968 Celebrations we were able to attend it placed 3rd in 2002, 2nd in 2003, 3rd in 2004 and 1st in 2005 in the Wash & Shine.

Pictures, Certificate of Authenticity, and CarFax ran in April (hard to decide to part with it) can be viewed at http://members.rennlist.com/968redcab any questions please contact me via email at redcab94@hotmail.com

Price - $20,000

Thanks,
Andy
