Lightweight Battery Mount
I was wondering if anybody is using a light weight style battery, and if so, whose mounting kit they used?
I'm considering a light weight battery for my track car since, according to sources, it can save upwards of 50 lbs compared to a stock battery.
Rennline has a mounting kit that also accommodates a cut-off switch. I was wondering if anybody has tried their unit?
Thanks,

before you get your hopes up too high, i'm not sure what battery you are using, but a stock one is only about 40# - even if you go to the tiny optima, you ony save 25#, but, that is 25# off the front of the car
that being said, i am moving it to the trunk, and having to make up a kit, so i am interested to see what you find

Jason,
I fashioned a homemade strap for my track car battery (11 lbs) using metal strapping. Works great and I have about $2 in the project (not counting battery costs). The only down side is that I have to unbolt it to remove the battery.

I bought the Braille battery. It came with a hold down system, but I wasn't convinced that it would hold the battery, hence the metal strapping install.
