It had the same problem about a month ago when Ray was on his way to Iceland. I emailed him about it then and I think he fixed it from Iceland. I sent him an email about this outage.

I agree that it is the best 968 site in the world!

Who's slagging? We're frustrated 'cause we can't get our daily fixes...

slag
n : the scum formed by oxidation at the surface of molten metals
v. To change into or form slag.

Interesting term - I can't say I've ever heard it used in that manner before.

I would never slag on a "moderated discussion forum with extensive technical library and more" at the expense of an "unmoderated discussion forum on otherwise inactive older 968 site"

Shamus is quoting from part of a thumbnail listing of the 4 major 968 discussion forums on my 968 info page. In the interest of accuracy, here's the full listing text:
968forums.com Moderated discussion forum with extensive technical library and more
968.net forum Unmoderated discussion forum on otherwise inactive older 968 site
Rennlist 968 forum 968 forum in larger Porsche enthusiasts' site. Paid membership suggested
968uk.com forum British 968 forum associated with a 968 site
Perhaps Shamus feels something about what I wrote is unfair or biased. I was trying to do the best I could in a very few words. AFAIK it's all accurate, and I do know it wasn't meant to cause any trouble.

Personally I feel that the words "extensive" and "inactive" are both unfair. Perhaps "growing technical library" and "Unmoderated active discussion forum hidden amongst a rarely updated 968 site".

For the 968 my site does have an extensive library which is always growing so his description is fair. When there is not a lot of competition out there I think it is fair to call it extensive lol.

He is not calling the 968.net forum inactive he is stating that the 968.net website is inactive again true "Updated: 31 Jan 2004" that to me is inactive.

John's a good guy that has been around in the 968 community for a long time. Give him a break also he took the time to collect information about the 968 and conolodate it in one place. I think we need to let him make his own choices on how he runs his website.
