Default Does DME Brain control dash warning lights?

Does the DME controller control the dash warning lights? For example , when I turn on my ignition all my dash lights light up except the Check Engine Light. If this is the case, doesn't that mean that my DME is working but the bulb for the CEL might be burned out? Or might it be deeper than that? I'm in a no start situation so I'm fishing. Without that light, I can't read the flashing fault codes.

To answer my own question, yes, the DME controller controls the CEL (check engine dash lite) but not the other dash lights (at least most will work with a dead DME). In other words, don't pull your dash to replace the bulbs in your CELlight until you make sure your DME is actually getting power since it powers several things, including the dash CEL lights.
