Default Difference in motor mounts for manual and Tip?

I need to replace mine. Found out the motor mounts for the Tip have a different part number, and are more expensive too.

Anybody ever used manual mounts on a Tip car?

No tip here, but I once read about a guy installing manual mounts on a tip and them failing. The tip mounts are stronger so I suggest you get some.

OT: here's a story I just read about the encroachment of "nifty things that will be very expensive to fix a few years after you buy the car"-

Honda's new Hybrid Accord goes down from 6 to 3 cylinders at times. The engine would shake like hell, except that the car has active motor mounts, computer-controlled, to counteract this. Car & Driver was reporting this as a big breakthrough: I'm just thinking "imagine the replacement cost".

If the tiptronic mounts are stronger as you say, why would Porsche bother supplying 2 different mounts? Why not use the tiptronic mounts on a 968 w/ manual transmission?
