Damian,

Thanks for posting the pix for me. Someday I'll figure out how to work this computer.

Now, if Intercity Lines would pick up the car and deliver it here to N.Y., I'd be a happy camper!

So, what's the deal for Saturday? Do we wind up going for breakfast/brunch??

I'd be up for that, but I think this is just a drive and cruise. The host will make a decision tomorrow whether to proceed or cancel due to the rain possibility.

Thanks guys.

First thing, those wheels are coming off and my 18" BBS rims (f-8 & r-10) are going on the car.

These look like 16" that have been chromed (not polished). The rubber is relatively new, from the records, it looks like the rear tires (Dunlops) have only 4,000 miles on them. In any event, I'll likely be selling the wheels soon ... unless I decide to do some winter driving this year, not likely though.

Now the car carrier, Intercity Lines, says the car will be picked up on Monday, 10/18.

Richard,

I was going to say it all looks great except the wheels. So I am glad to hear you are changing them. They do look like chromed 16s to me. If they turn out to be factory 17s I am looking for a set for AutoX wheels regardless of what they look like.

Tell us more about the car. Does it have M030 or LSD? I guess you have parts from the old one that you will swap out?

Congrats on an excellent find!

Awesome car. Great find.
Look forward to seeing it live in the flesh at VIR.
Caravan? I'm planning on leaving Thursday morning. Not sure what your plans are for suspension, but I've got the Ledas in mine if you want to get a feel for them.

Take it easy,
Jim

Clem,

Ledas are definitely the hot set-up. I had the M030 in my previously 968 & am contemplating going that route again. I'm fairly certain that I can transplant my rear suspension. The front is likely bent, but we shall see.

I am definitely interested in caravaning down to VIR with you. Are you driving your car or trailering? I'll be trailering.

If you're in the City, we can probably hook up on the NJ Turnpike. We can firm-up our plan as the date draws near. Here's my contact info:

home phone: (845) 268-9678
Cell: (914) 548-5084
e-mail: glickel@optonline.net OR rglickel@optonline.net

Ciao.

The UK 968 guys are putting together a Leda group buy, you might want to check into 968.uk.co for more info.
