Default Was Ist Das?

Found in my tool kit. I assumed it was a tool to pull your center caps. Someone else suggested it’s a hook to pull a secret release for the trunk if your battery is dead. If so, where is it? (Also, doesn’t make much sense to keep it in the tool roll in the trunk if that’s the case!)

I believe it is to pull the wheel center caps. I assume that a PO put it in the tool roll. I do not believe that they came with the roll initially.

Apparently, the can be used to pull the emergency release to the hood (located behind the driving/fog light) and the trunk/rear hatch (behind the vent in the driver’s door)

Was it part of the OE tool kit? Mine does not have one.

According to the PET, yes. Are you sure you don’t have it? Mine was tucked way down in the far right slot in the tool roll. I kind of found it by accident. (I could see the outline on the slot so I reached in and pulled it out)

That I would rectify post haste because without a compressor to fill the space saver spare, you're stuck if you get a flat.

I need to get my kit out and verify my tow eye in in there. I don't remember seeing it the other day when I had the tools out.

Tow hook I have. Use it all the time when I do track days.
The one time I had a flat I just called AAA. Not sure a crappy 30 year old space saver tire would be any good anyway. Just like our airbags.

I used mine a couple of years ago. Worked fine to get me to discount tire.
