The ProMAX Performance for 968 is available in 4 versions:
7100A - for USA with 7100rpm limit +15bhp (average)
7700AT - track orientated version with 7700rpm limit and +17bhp (average)
7100R - for ROW with 7100rpm limit +15bhp (average)
7700RT - track orientated version with 7700rpm limit and +17bhp (average)
NOTE: power gains will vary from car to car. Above figures represent an average improvement in peak horsepower achieved from users own dyno tests. Also tested by Nine magazine in 09/04 and 07/05.
Power gains may be higher or lower depending on engine condition and fuel grade. 93MON/RON recommended. 91MON/RON OK. 97RON Europe.
Have the ProMAX ROW chip on my S/CS but tbh I can't compare with non-ProMAX as it was installed before my ownership. Think the hp gains may be a tad enthusiastic but I can certainly feel when the variocam kicks in up the rev range, and ideally the ProMAX config improves this further. I'm running an RSBarn chip, quite satisfied.
But I'm a big Megasquirt PnP fan and investigated what it would take for DIYAutoTune to build one for the 968. Turns out "it's not hard" but the volume does not offer them the incentive to invest, so someone would have to pay for that development.
If someone is feeling flush, I'd be glad to volunteer some time to work it out. But not the front costs.

In the end...replacing the chip without having to replace the whole bottom end is certainly the easy button. But it's not reasonably user-tunable.

APR has one as well.

I have no knowledge on how good it is nor am I affiliated with APR.

"APR 300 HR"
That's what D1R claims too, but their chip comes with a supercharger!
