Default Rear Wiper Issue

When I drove the 968 back to Florida, I got a little bit of rain. In a power move, I turned on the rear wiper (the car doesn't really need it). It did half a sweep before stopping. I've tried recycling power but it's not working. I'm not really sure where to begin troubleshooting. I'd like to keep it for originality but if it's too much of a hassle, I'd do the delete for it. Pointers on where to begin are appreciated!

Have you tried removing wiper motor from the car and applying 12v direct to the motor to see if it turns? If it does, it is possible that the wiper arm may not be sufficiently tightened on the motor shaft.

I'll give that a shot here soon. Thanks. Unfortunately, some life events took me away for a few weeks.

This will offend the purists,...but the best troubleshooting move is to get a wiper delete plug and remove ! Never gets used and looks better without ! In all seriousness, I think its a 3 wire connector...one wire for ground, one for 12v to run the motor constantly, and one to return to a home position I think. They do strip easily as DSM suggested. Once stripped there done, need to find good used one.The motor gear is steel and the arm is alloy of some sort and strips easily if bolt loosens over time.

Plus, it is too darn small for the huge glass. The few times I have used mine I think afterwards, "why did I bother..."
