Default Calling on my DIY mechanics knowledge…

I’m having an issue restarting my 968 after the engine gets hot. Starts right up when it’s cold. Once I’ve run it for a while and shut it off I have to crank it two or three times to restart it. Good news is that so far it will start back up after 2-3 cranks. Any guess what might be causing this?

Loss of residual fuel pressure resulting in vapor lock.

The fuel pressure should be 1.8 to 2.2 bar (around 30 psi) after 20 minutes atter the fuel pump is shut off. Check the fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure damper and fuel pump check valve, as well as fuel injectors for leaks.
