Default Carbon Cannister vent

Having some issues with the gas tank/gauge.... running down if its building a vaccum and crushing it. First thing is checking that the carbon canister vent off isn't clogged but I'm loosing the line once it goes to the hard line under the car and from the parts diagram, I can't tell where it ends up after the check valve. Anybody know the location?

I used to have a problem with vacuum in the gas tank. My solution was to drill a tiny hole in the center of the metal gas cap and problem solved.

If you're referring to #24 in the diagram in 201-15, it ends up going to a cloth braided line that runs across the top rear of the firewall over to the canister in the driver fenderwell.

No, the other end of it.

Look at diagram 201-05 for where other end goes. Fits onto expansion tank, and there is another line that connects to filler tube.

Ok... well, everything is an adventure on the car. Chased the vent tube back and got into tearing all of the trunk interior thinking it went there. Well, what I should of been doing is following the breather line out the bottom of the cannister. Maybe, someone will need this someday and I can save them.

Makes sense. So since I haven't ever dropped the tank, does the breather hose attach to the top of the tank, or just vent to atmosphere? It's not clear in the diagrams.

There's two lines....technically 3 coming off the canister, but one goes directly to the intake. The other top line goes to the gas tank under the passenger side of the car and thats where the fumes get vented into the canister. The hose that comes out the bottom runs down the drivers side of the car, crosses under the trunk and just ends in the back corner. This is the breather line. This brings in air to compensate for motor sucking up fumes. Basically my canister literally lost its marbles and is dumping all the charcoal out into the breather hose, essentially clogged the hose, not letting air in.. This is creating a vacuum in my tank, to the point it crushed the gas level sender. So random!
