Default Correct Threadlock on DMF Bolts?

I removed my Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) to confirm it was OK.
The bolts have some sort of white thread lock on them - see pic (appears like this is the original DMf - low mileage car).
I can't see any mention of thread lock in the Work Shop Manual or Clark's Garage.
Any knowledge if factory did indeed use thread lock?
Any knowledge what thread lock to use (high, medium, low)?
BTW - I do intend to use new bolts.

Follow-up thought:

Is the white stuff actually thread sealant as opposed to thread locker?

I've never had a 968 crank out, but if the holes are through holes then its common practice to use sealant to prevent oil seepage.

Can someone confirm the crank holes are through holes and not blind holes?

Flywheel bolts: Clean both the crankshaft flange and the back of the flywheel. Put red Loctite in the female threaded hole. Putting threadlocker on the bolts will allow the fluid to creep between the FW and the crank flange and it will allow it to loosen.
Clutch: No threadlocker required since the pressure plate keeps tension on the bolts and they stay put.
