I have used 3 ohm resistor successfully on cars with club sport steering wheel to fool airbag module. When I removed the clockspring/horn contact harness because the club sport steering wheel uses a different horn contact I would cut the orange plug off the un-used harness and solder resistor to the the two wire plug and then plug back into the dash harness where it came from.
