Saw a post on fb from the very nice people at Porsche Silver Spring that they were having a transaxle Cars and Coffee, so I thought I'd head on over. Alas I realized when I got there that it's next weekend. Ah well. They did let me ogle the 968CS that's currently adorning the showroom. Customer car, apparently, recently bought on BAT. I suspect it's this one. And it truly is a thing of beauty. Inspiration, if any were needed, to keep pressing on with mine.
Since I was out and about in the 968 anyway I headed over to Katie's Cars and Coffee in McLean. Lots of Porsches, but no transaxle cars. I did get to look at a Lucid Air close up, though, which was fun. And the drive itself, along various Parkways on a cool-ish morning with the roof open, was more than worth it.
Back to Silver Spring next weekend - they tell me they expect six or seven 968s in attendance.

James, nice pics. Casey Parkin who works at Porsche Silver Spring and is restoring his GP white coupe hosted the event and said they will be having another in July perhaps when his car is all together. There were 4 or 5 more 968's that could not make this one but maybe in July there will even be a few more out there....Nice to meet you.
