Position of reverse light switch on Tiptronic
Heya folks
can anyone throw some light on where the reverse light switch is on the 968 tiptronic trans.
Is it in the shifter assembly as other Porsche models like the 996.

Not 100% sure but I will look through shop manual today...Tach also has some additional wiring and tip trans indications/displays. PET shows that the tach and speedometer are different for Tiptronic cars vs 6 speed. Suppose the speedometer gives the tiptronic computer some speed information for shift purposes??

attached pic shows my Tippy with the sensor above the output shaft - circled in yellow
It quotes that part number as Automatic Inductive Speed Transmitter - do you think it has anything to do with the speedo at all.
