Default Path to Fuse Box?

I'm accustomed to running wires to the fuse box directly for things like amplifiers and dash cams. A casual inspection on my 92 968 doesn't show that as being feasible; the box has a clamp-down top, and the ingress of the wires must be from the bottom, which seems inaccessible without significant work. (I live in a high-rise, so spending a weekend on a project is challenging, plus tool access is constrained.)
How do owners typically hardwire in this car?

Yes, the wires come in from the bottom, clear up under the dash on the inside of the car.

There are 2 bolts (screws) that hold the fuse box in place. They're plastic knurled screws in the corners of the box. If you take these 2 out you can gently lift up the fuse box and get to the wiring from under the hood.

With that being said, most cars that I've parted out have had accessories hard wired in by using quick splice connectors.

Yeah, I see a lot of taps. It's just not how I'm used to rolling. Oh well, perhaps it's time.
