One left! If you have a split tube (92, 93, early 94) manual transmission 968 and needs to move to a non split torque tube, I have one for sale. This tube originally came from a late 80's 944. My expert welder/machinist cut out 3 inches, machined the front to match the 968 specs and welded the seem. It currently has stock used shaft bearings and a 944 long shaft. Therefore it needs a 968 shaft and I recommend that it goes to Black Seal R&D in Georgia for a new super bearings.
Price: $950 plus shipping. This is basically my cost - $350 for donor tube and $600 for labor/welding/machining.
These guys built one for me, and I can attest to the amazing quality and workmanship. Anyone with a car with a split torque tube with anything approaching or exceeding 100K miles should consider jumping on this.
We've had the pleasure of working with Isaac on a few 944 TT to 968 TT conversions and they are well executed. For anyone with a split 968TT looking for another option, this one would be it.
