Engine oil light

Engine oil light
The engine oil light doesn't come on when starting up from cold but upon restarting the engine for the return journey (engine still warm) the light comes on all the way home. It has done this the last two times I've driven it. The car's oil levels have been checked and are fine. I'm presuming this is a faulty oil level sensor? I've looked for replacement sensors but the only thing that comes up is an oil level sensor gasket? Is this right? Any advice for someone who doesn't know very much about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The part number for the oil pressure sender is 92860620301
Lots of options available. Make sure that you hook it up correctly (there are two wires, one for the gauge, one for the idiot light.)

thick oil in cold temperatures may take a while to return to the sump.
is your restart after the oil is to 180F ish
edit. the oil pressure switch the fed to the oil pressure gauge. the oil level sending unit is fed to the oil level light

@thomasmryan The restart is with an hour after driving 20 miles or so. I don't know what temp the oil is but the engine is warm on restart.

dip stick would be too hot to touch at 180. you might clean the pin contact and see how secure the connector feels.
get or make a new gasket so you can remove the sender for inspection. you kinda have to rotate out the sending unit as it is an L shape. if you need a part number, I can look it up in the PET.
