Default 944 clutch slave cylinder into 968,

The lower priced 944 clutch slave cylinder can be installed and bled with no problem in our 968. Its a tight fit but I did it las weekend. I did not beat on or use a hammer on the body of my car to make space!!!
The instant you loosen the bleed port fluid will start to leak from along the threads so this will get a bit messy, I used a flat steel cookie pan to catch it.
I suggest you use a short section of clear lab spec plastic tygon tubing as shown in the 1st pic to bleed the system down so you can watch for air bubbles as you are bleeding..
As a aside even with the starter in place you can still preform the bleed down of the system , its a tight fit but very workable.using the clear flex hose as shown

Very useful info...thanks.

I rebuilt my slave and am hopeful it will work, but an option besides the now $300+ 968 slave is a welcome alternative!
