Went and picked these up today for my 968. As suspected, the only difference is the speaker cutout. I wonder why they did a larger cutout for the '94MY vs. these '93's. The larger cutout would make for a less stiff panel, as there would be no center "rib" between the bass and tweeter.
Sadly, the dealer ordered the left-hand side for my 924S "Operation Facelift" project. -- I already have two. One is installed and looks great. Despite them being "special order no returns" he kept it, and ordered me the correct side. I remember clearly going through what I needed with his during the order...
This means that anyone who needs a brand new left side in black can get one now from Tacoma Porsche without a wait.
I've heard a lot about how the classic grey "fades" to the sickly purpleish color. Well, apparently not. The color of these new parts is almost indistinguishable from the old parts. Very slightly lighter, hard to tell though.
