Default Cargraphic exhaust

I'm still checking into this, I'm waiting for current prices on their 4 piece exhaust system (down pipe with 100 cell cat, center silencer, sport backbox, and exhaust tip). 2002 prices for the above totaled to $2456.89!

I'm hoping it's taking them so long to reply because I also asked for dyno sheets/documentation for their claim of 10-15 hp-I'm sure they have to contact Germany for this info.

I'll keep you all informed when I hear back.

It's the complete system from the headers back, not a cat-back like B&B...I posted about this a couple weeks ago, Damian is following up with them to see if it's a worthy exhaust system upgrade.

You don't have to buy all the parts at once. You can start with a cat-back [sans tip if you're like me], then get the collector/cat setup later down the road. Or if you're happy with the cat-back just leave it that way.

So the cat back would consist of pieces 2-4 I wonder what the cost on those are, hopefully the cat is the most expensive piece

I wonder why there is 3 part #'s for piece #4? I also am curious how piece
#2 mates with piece #3? Doesnt appear to be any flange or gasket?

I dunno the B&B system looks just as nice. Notice in the pics that there are 2 models of B&B one with and one without resonator. Any thoughts on whether the resonator would be wanted or not? (Eric hope you don't mind my borrowing youe pics

No resonator

The 'down pipe with 100 cell cat' accounts for about $1100 of the price. HP benefits? Who knows. Weight benefits? Who knows. The earlier talk about this would be that maybe we could get one at cost, do a before and after dyno, then a group buy or something like that if it showed a cost effective improvement. The exhaust tip is much better than stock or BB, to my eyes anyway. Don't know about the sound.

Wasn't Tom Pulz buying one of these for his S2??

If it gets to the point where it seems like a good idea I'll cross post to 968.net and 968uk.com too-I wouldn't want to exclude anyone who doesn't read here.

Kevin you've got the wrong picture of the Cargraphic system. That's the S2 system...see the post I made a while back, you'll think the 968 system is impressive.

They want almost $900 for the remapped DME-on exchange- as well-don't know about the air filter.

Kev, the 2002 US price list I have just substitutes P68 for P44 in the pn#'s.

Because the guy doing their website probably has no idea what they look like and mixed them up. You can clearly identify the 968 system because it resembles the stock system, with dual pipes post-cat connecting resonator to muffler. It looks very nice - let's hope Damian can get more info.

Common sense...why would they charge more for the 968 system if the image shows less material being used in that application? Because they're accidentally switched.

OK that seems logical.......I did notice the dual pipes after you mentioned it and realized you were right :_)

All,

I spoke to Hershel Zelcer, president of Cargraphic USA, at the swap meet in Hershey about the 968 exhaust. He confirmed Damian's first $$$ of $2400 for the complete header back system. I asked him about a group buy...and he said that he would be able to do the complete exhaust for $1875. A group buy for the cat back (three piece set), would be $1175. Is anyone interested in something like this?

I told Hershel that I would be contacting him if there was some interest.

Let me know.

Graham Rippel
