Could the 997 be the upgrade to the 968?

Default Could the 997 be the upgrade to the 968?

Thought I'd bring this over for those that don't check the other forums...

But the nose on our 968's is so hot, they're bringing it back.

Top pic is the as yet to be announced/produced 997 (the 996 replacement, as the engine is located in the rear), bottom shot taken from a 1992 ad.

I think it's more in line with 993.

That photo with all the silver P-cars lined up showing headlights had the evolution of the 993 and 968 in there....I'll have to find that old ad somewhere. I just thought the 997 headlight was an interesting departure from the current integrated turnsignal headlight pod.

I thought I read an article that mentioned Porsche getting back to its "roots" - the bugeye lights and all...
