Default Fuchs?

Driving home last night, I saw a black 968 with what appeared to be black fuchs. I was just curious, do they fit a 968? I assume that since the chassis geometry is roughly the same as a 944, it would just be a matter of offset and spacers to get it to work.

I know that this thread is worthless without pictures, but driving in downtown LA during rush hour is a four limb and two eye job, so no cell phone pictures. Sorry.

The original Porsche fuchs will not work on a 968. The wheels are early offset and when paired with an 87+ 944 or a 968 will sit out past the fenders. There are a few aftermarket companies out there though that make fuchs styled wheels to fit late offset cars.

ie.

Thanks for the confirmation! I could not get a good enough look to see how they sat relative to the fender.

Fuchs make wheels for late offset cars like the 968, but they don't look quite as nice with the more shallow rim.

The wheels above on the Fitzgerald 968 TRS replica are from Fuchfelge (http://www.fuchsfelge.de/index.php?id=5&L=1) who is the original manufacturer of the Fuchs wheels made for Porsche all those years ago. The newly remanufactured ones come in 17,18 and 19inch and suit late offset cars without spacers. We run a few sets ourselves that we purchase through RSR garage in Australia (aus distributer, http://www.rsrgarage.com.au). And just like the originals they are a full forged wheel & anodized, nothing is as strong and nothing we have seen from any of the replicas come close to the quality of the finish.
Just for your reference the US distributer is http://www.fuchsfelgeusa.com
Regards
Bruce

Do you know the size/offset and tire specs on this silver 951? I like the proportions!
