Default plse help re part nos. for gas struts and refitting

Hi all. I have a 1993 3.6T with failing gas struts all round. No longer able to keep trunk or engine bay lids up and need replacing. I have had a look as best I can but can't see/read part numbers. All I can see is that they are the good old Stabilus Lift-o-Mats. Can anyone help please with the part numbers?

Also, several sites that offer them for sale, talk about "easy fitting" and "no special tools needed". I might believe the second point but this is a Porsche right ? I have looked at the rear struts and it looks as if I might be able to get at those OK after removing a few bits and pieces. But I can't for the life of me see how to get at the bottom end of the front struts. Has anyone done this job themselves and got any tips for me?

TIA

Richard

There are lots of threads on this over on the 964 forum. Have a look at them before you dive in.
I think the right front strut was kind of tough as the pin & clip are buried. I was able to remove and reinstall it with a long pair of needle nose pliers.

OEM parts are:

Rear 911-512-331-02
Front 993-511-331-00

Thanks for the quick reply. With the part numbers I can at least order the parts. That will give me time to check out members' experiences. Sorry - didn't think to check out the 964 forum

Thanks for the links. I had found the one for the engine cover one but not the bonnet/trunk one.

Tomorrow I'll have a look at whatever I can see in the car using the photos in the links. It will be a week-10 days before the parts arrive so I have plenty of time to figure it out.

Cheers
