Hey guys - Just a quick note to say I had a great experience with Michael at PARTisan Autoteile. We emailed about repairing my HVAC servos - #2 and #4 - mixing servos. He does it on exchange so my new ones were on the way well before he even had mine in his possession. He replaces the PCB board and motor. Cost was about $425 for the two including express shipping from Germany, plus about $20 to ship mine over.
Had to drive my car today and it's a cool morning - so nice to have full heat function again! And this summer it will be nice to have A/C with no heat blending in.
No affiliation - just a satisfied customer.

Brandon, weren't you able to find any in stock with the salvage yards (Partsheaven, ect.)?
I did the "eraser repair" on one of mine; the other was toast in that it would only rotate in one direction.

I looked around a little. And on ebay. Prices were about same as repair. The problem I have with buying used (in this case) is who knows how long it will last?? They're all 20+ yrs old. The problem is (keep in mind I'm not an EE so this is the basic gist of it) that the motor starts getting carbon build up, burning out, causing extra load and heat. Then the fingers can melt and/or the track gets burned/melted. It will happen to all of them - question of when. I had an EE friend of mine pull one of mine apart after I removed it - track was burned - some of it was gone. Eraser fix would have done nothing.
Michael replaces the motor and PCB board with completely new - everything else remains original - the case, the gear, the arm, etc. - so should be good for a very long time.
I highly recommend this route.
