Default Maximum wheel size?

I am getting ready to order some wheels for my track car. Any idea on the best sizes. I am leaning toward 18" wheels.

8.5X18 and 10X18 will fit nicely ona C2T. Fit the wheels with 225/40 and 285/30 and I think you'll have as much tire as will safely fit.

Do a search under tire size and offset for more info.

On my '92 C2T, I have the 996 10x18" turbo twist wheels, with the narrow body offset of 65mm, with 285/30 tires, and it fits with just a bit of room to spare. See this thread:

You can get 10-1/2" wheels on the rear with 295s. Had to get a custom offset from Fikse, but it worked. One other thing, I would go with 17" wheels personally. For 99.9% of the drivers, they are fine and less expensive.

IN REPLY TO YOUR WHEEL SIZES, I HAVE 18' RIMS ON MY RUF, THE FRONT IS 235 35 18 AND REAR 285 45 18. ANYWAY LIKE SOMEONE ELSE MENTIONED ABOUT THE RIM SIZES BE VERY CAREFUL AND CHECK THE HUB DEPTH. AS I PUT A SET OF TURBO RIMS 18" 8.5 FRONT AND 18" 10.5 IN THE REAR WITH DUNLOP P9000 TIRES. ANYWAY MY FRONT TIRES BEGAN TO RUB INSIDE, APPARENTLY THE NEW RIMS HAD CHANGED THE TIRE DIMENTIONS INSIDE BECAUSE THE RUF RIMS HAD A DEEP HUB AND THE TURBO RIMS ARE MORE FLUSHED IT CAUSED THE RUBBING, MY SLOUTION WAS TO RAISE THE FRONT END UP A FEW INCHES, THE DIFFERENCE WAS NOT THAT NOTICEIABLE FROM LOOKING AT THE CAR, BUT IT DID STOP THE RUBBING. AS FOR THE SIZE IT IS WAS RUF WHO PUT ON THE CAR AND SO I STAY WITH THEIR ORIGINAL SIZES. DON'T GO CHEAP IT WILL HURT YOU IN THE LONG RUN. THE P9000 ARE THE BEST TIRES SO FAR THAT I HAVE USED, THE PIRELLE, AND TOYO WERE CRAP I WORE THEM OUT IN ONE SUMMER OF DRIVING APPROX 4 MONTHS HERE IN GERMANY. THE P9000'S HAVE A TREADWEAR OF 280 AND HANDLE VERY WELL EVEN WHEN I'M AT 280 + THEY CORNER WELL. OK GOOD LUCK
